FAAC C720 / C721 – Low-Voltage High-Speed Sliding Gate Operator
A masterstroke of modern engineering. Utilizing a patented mobile-axis reduction system to achieve >80% mechanical efficiency and continuous, whisper-quiet 24Vdc operation.
The FAAC C720 and C721 represent the next generation of sliding gate automation. Unlike traditional gearmotors, they utilize a revolutionary, FAAC-patented mobile-axis reduction principle. This results in an exceptionally high mechanical yield (>80%), meaning less energy is wasted as heat and more is converted into pure pushing force.
Because they operate entirely on a 24Vdc low-voltage architecture, these motors are intrinsically safe and are rated for continuous, non-stop use without ever overheating. Coupled with built-in magnetic limit switches and highly intelligent anti-crushing encoders, the C720/C721 series is the ultimate choice for both high-end residential and demanding commercial properties.
The FAAC C720 / C721 Model Variations
The series is divided into two distinct power classes, ensuring there is a perfectly optimized 24V motor for your specific gate weight:
FAAC C720 (Up to 400 Kg)
Designed for high-end residential and light-commercial applications. The C720 utilizes a highly efficient 220W, 3200 RPM motor to move gates weighing up to 400 kg at a rapid speed of 18 meters per minute. It incorporates the E720 control board.
FAAC C721 (Up to 800 Kg)
The heavy-duty commercial variant. It features an uprated 290W, 3600 RPM motor capable of generating 30 Nm of torque and 530 N of pure thrust. This allows it to effortlessly control massive gates up to 800 kg, while still maintaining the rapid 18 m/min gate speed and continuous use frequency. It incorporates the E721 control board.
Universal Features Across Both Models
1. Patented Mobile-Axis Reduction
This FAAC exclusive technology provides over 80% mechanical efficiency. It drastically reduces noise, vibration, and component wear, resulting in one of the smoothest running gate motors on the global market.
2. Electronic Anti-Crushing Encoder
Because it operates on 24Vdc, the built-in electronic encoder can monitor the motor’s torque with extreme precision. If an obstacle is detected, the motor immediately stops and reverses, guaranteeing maximum safety.
3. Continuous Use Rated
The 24V architecture means there is virtually no risk of thermal overload. Unlike 230V residential motors that require cooling periods, the C720 and C721 are rated for Continuous Use, able to open and close non-stop all day.
4. Master-Slave Synchronization
Using the E721 board, two opposing sliding gates can be perfectly synchronized in a Master-Slave configuration, allowing them to open and close together as a single cohesive unit.
